1. What's in your download

Your purchase is a ZIP bundle. Inside it you'll find:

  • glam-active-theme.zip — the installable Shopify theme (this is the file you upload to Shopify).
  • demo/ — a clickable HTML preview of every page.
  • GLAM-ACTIVE-Setup-Guide.md — the quick-start guide.

Important: upload glam-active-theme.zip itself to Shopify — not the outer bundle. The theme files (layout, sections, templates…) must sit at the root of the zip you upload.

2. Install the theme

  1. Shopify admin → Online Store → Themes.
  2. Under Theme library → Add theme → Upload zip file.
  3. Select glam-active-theme.zip and upload.
  4. Click ⋯ → Preview to review, then ⋯ → Publish when ready.

3. Create the menu pages

The header & footer link to real pages. Create each under Online Store → Pages → Add page, then on the right under Theme template pick the matching template:

The design & copy are built into each template, so you can leave the page body empty.

4. Create the Men & Women collections

The menu's Shop Men / Shop Women point to /collections/men and /collections/women.

  1. Products → Collections → Create collection.
  2. Create two collections and set their handles to men and women (edit the handle at the bottom of the page).
  3. Add products manually or by condition (e.g. product tag = men).
  4. Shop / Bestsellers uses /collections/all, which always exists.

5. Add a blog

  1. Online Store → Blog posts → Manage blogs → Add blog, title News (handle news).
  2. Publish a post so /blogs/news isn't empty.

6. Add your products

Add items under Products; they appear in Shop and collections automatically. To feature specific products on the homepage, edit the cards in sections/glamskel-home.liquid (names, prices, images), or wire them to real products.

7. Customise the look

Open Online Store → Themes → ⋯ → Edit code.

  • Accent colour: assets/glamskel.css → the :root block near the end. Change --acc (red) and --acc2 (volt-lime) to re-skin the theme in one line.
  • Background: --bg (charcoal #1c1f24).
  • Fonts: Archivo (headings) + Inter (body), set in layout/theme.liquid and the home section.
  • Homepage sections: edit sections/glamskel-home.liquid (hero slides, categories, bundle items, videos, reviews).
  • Header / footer / cart: shared across all pages in layout/theme.liquid.

8. Using the conversion features

  • Bundle builder: select 3+ items to unlock tiered discounts (10/15/20%).
  • Smart filters: category chips, price slider, in-stock toggle & sort update results instantly.
  • Cart drawer: opens on add-to-cart with a live free-shipping progress bar and in-cart recommendations.
  • Quick view / Compare / Wishlist: available on every product card.
  • Shoppable videos, lookbook hotspots, quantity packs, size chart, countdown, sticky add-to-cart all work out of the box.

9. International & SEO

  • Settings → Markets → add countries & currencies; the header currency switcher then displays correctly.
  • The theme ships meta description, Open Graph & Twitter cards, canonical URL, JSON-LD store schema, a single H1 per page and lazy-loaded images.
  • Set your homepage SEO title/description & social image in Online Store → Preferences.
